Pasta with Peas and Cream Sauce

Welcome back to the Starving Artist blog! This first recipe is a super fast and delicious cozy meal. It should take you about 20 minutes total to prepare, and feeds approximately 3 to 4 people.



  • 1 pound spaghetti, farfalle, or other pasta of your choice
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese


1. Mince garlic and grate Parmesan cheese (if needed)

2. Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions

3. Sauté the peas, butter, and garlic on medium heat for about 3 minutes. Add the cream and salt and cook on medium low heat for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cream starts to thicken. Remove from heat.

4. When the pasta is cooked and drained, return to the pan and add the sauce. Add the Parmesan cheese and stir well.

5. Serve hot and enjoy!
